Stuck Brushes on My Hoover SteamVacV2 Turbine Help! (by 2 users)

Hi, It appears that my brushes won't turn on my Hoover v2 and I don't know how to get to the turbine to clean it. I have cleaned the brushes and the red pull out filter as stated in the manual -- can you help?
I have been unable to find a service manual anywhere online so I am unsure as to how to take it apart.

I HAVE REMOVED THE BRUSHES AND AND FRONT PLASTIC HOUSING. THE SQUARE FEMALE DRIVER WILL NOT ROTATE. MOVING THE "BRUSH ON" LEVER HAS NO EFFECT. ARE THE BRUSHES POWERED BY A SEPARATE TURBINE OR ARE THEY POWERED FROM THE MOTOR? I HAVE NOT TRIED TAKING APART THE POWER TRAIN.

Did you pull the brush block out to see the the shaft hasn't broken off of the brush block? If so, then replace the brush block. From the bottom, take the screws, 2 of which will be longer ones, these hold down the turbine . Turn it over and the top cover should come off. There 2 posts at the back of the cover, they just fir tight but will come out. The turbine #23,is in the middle, near the front, remove the 2 screws on the front edge of it, unhook the tubing, it will come off. So you can take it apart and clean it out, or go ahead and replace it.
